Do you have those moments when something gets to you so badly, you need to reach out to someone before reacting. Of course you do! We all do! When we have the time to contemplate how we will respond to a situation, that is a clear sign that God is in control. He is giving us an opportunity to sort it out, think it through, and walk away if necessary. When you are seeking the right words or the right reaction….follow through. What is the point in seeking God’s righteousness, and yet choosing to do wrong. If you don’t have that moment to think, you might be in trouble.
1 Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
How many times have you stared temptation right in the face and took some time to decide whether you wanted to partake in it? Temptation is not sin. Giving in to the temptation is the sin. If you are considering whether to do it or not, once again, God is in control. He won’t tempt you, but he will give you a way out. Which way will you go? Will you choose to be triumphant?
2 Cor 11 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
No one in the world can give us a guarantee to succeed except Christ. We have the guarantee that we can overcome if we choose to. The scripture says God “always causes us to triumph”, not fail. We choose to fail because we let our flesh take control instead of God. So, next time you face a situation and have a moment to think about what you are about to say or do…remember, it is in that very moment you can grab your golden ticket to victory, if you choose right!
