What You See Is Not Always What You Get!

If you continuously find yourself looking down on others or thinking, “They should be further along by now,” you may be a little premature in your judgement. Sometimes people appear more spiritual then they are, while others appear more carnal than they are. We desire to see people grow and wish they would get there a lot quicker than they seem to be moving. But the reality is, God’s timing is best, and you don’t know what God is doing on the inside!

1 Cor 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

People who “seem” to be spiritual and have it altogether, could be as black as night on the inside. The one who seems to know nothing and fading into the background, may be the very one whose heart has been converted. We must learn to stop looking at the outside and have patience with one another on this journey. We must take on the mind of Christ in order to love people, in spite of their condition. Stop picking people based on the outside and start loving people like Christ did.  If you don’t, there’s a good chance you may find out the juicy red apple you keep picking over the slightly green apple, might have a nasty worm right in the middle!

Be encouraged,
