***Word for the church!*** God says there is a change of guards. My apostles and prophets have not upheld my standard and have not spoken truth. I will take the mantle from you and place it upon those I am raising up. I am removing your anointing as I did in the days of King Saul and David. The writing is on the wall as in the days of King Nebuchadnezzar, but who will read the writing? Who will interpret the times? You have danced with the devil in my house. You have allowed fornicators to lead my worship. You have allowed revilers and drunkards to speak in my house. You have allowed the rebellious and hateful to serve my sacrament. You have closed the mouths of ones I have sent to warn you. You have exalted yourself using the gifts I have placed in you. You have used my anointing to elevate yourself above reproof and correction. Leviathan has become your king. I am God! I am the one who sends forth. I have placed Nathans in your midst but you have refused their message because you have become arrogant, stiff necked, and prideful in your ways. I am bringing down the high places you have set up in your life as well as my house. Turn from your wickedness and repent. You have scattered my flock and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. These are the days that I will choose whom I will have mercy upon. I will set souls free. I will deliver. I will restore. I am God!
I read this and thought, hmm so true. As we all know, it is the Christmas season and gifts are being given all over the world. Like many of you, I like receiving gifts, and I also like being around good people. When I think about it, the people I like being around are great if they never gave me anything. The laughs we’ve shared, the tears we’ve sown, and the prayers we’ve prayed are worth so much more than a gift. The gifts are just the icing on the cake. So, this season remember the special someones who make you happy without doing anything. These are the ones who matter most in your life. Let them know the effect they have had on your life, and watch their faces light up with joy. Share some special moments and memories and make your holidays worth while. Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season and none of us can top his gift of eternal life. All we can do is enjoy the special someones in our life and the icing on the cake!
Unfortunately, we all have times in our lives when everything that could go wrong, will. We call this rock bottom. The encouraging thing about rock bottom is “the rock.”
Matt 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
If you find yourself at rock bottom, that means it is time to rebuild. God wants you to build your life. Begin building on the Word of God. Everything that has been said or done to you is cancelled in the name of Jesus! What does the Bible say about you? Build on that! Learn his promises so your foundation is sure. It may take a while to rebuild, but as long as you have a promise you have a future. (I used to hear my Elder say) When you reach rock bottom, you have a choice to get up or stay down. Your down time is the opportunity to pray and draw closer to Jesus. This is not a time to be depressed. We let the wrong feelings dictate our response in situations. So, hold your head up and walk with a smile. Rock bottom just means God is building you from the bottom up. He is building on the rock and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. You are victorious. Believe that!
