What did I miss?

What did I miss?

What did I miss?

If you were in school and received a test paper back with an “F”, but did not see any Red check marks, what would you think? I am sure you would want to know which ones you missed. You would also want to know, what is the correct answer. Good teachers are pretty thorough in what they do. They teach, test, and make corrections, so you will know what you missed. So, if God gave you a test and you got the answers wrong, wouldn’t you want to know what you missed? Wouldn’t you want to know what is the correct answer and how to get it right? .

That is what apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are sent to do in the body of Christ. If they see you doing wrong, let them correct you. Don’t get so easily offended when you get corrected. Be thankful that God cared enough to send them your way. Don’t get upset because you want to do it your way and it is not working out. God’s word and Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you into all truths. All you need to do is follow them.

Sometimes, we are too lazy to read the Bible for ourselves, so God will use church leaders to show us the right answer. There is only one right answer to receive eternal everlasting life, and that is through Jesus Christ. So, if you have any answer outside of that, you will fail the test. Receive your corrections in love and grow gracefully in God. Smile because God will let you retake the test over and over again, until you get it right. This is what we call grace and repentance. So, if you miss something this time, you can get it right next time. Just don’t miss the same thing twice. Learn from your mistakes and turn away from your sins. Don’t go through life wondering what you missed. Study the word if God and get it right, today!

Eph 4:11-15 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Be Encouraged
